Individual tourists and tour companies visit Judah Square most days. There are trained and registered guides to show them the community and educate them on the Rasta way of life. They can also be taken on a hiking trail. You can book by phoning Brother Zebulon on 076 649 1034 or international on (+27) 76 649 1034.
The B&B home-stay compliments the tours. Tourists or media often stay over in the backpacker beds on offer (bookings through Sista Kerri – 083 502 2229). In 2013, international model and ex-downhill skating World Champion, Aki von Glasow, spent 2 weeks at Judah Square, treating residents to free sessions of BSR (Body Stress Release).
Tours are the HOJ’s biggest source of revenue.
- Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur Award for 2007 (awarded by Knysna Tourism)
- Invited to attend the International Tourism Indaba in Uganda in 2007 as an example of what can be accomplished by a PDC (Previously Disadvantaged Community). Financially, this was not viable due to transport costs but the invitation served as an inspiration to Judah Square.
- Tour guides have attended the National Tourism Indaba in Durban twice.
