It’s time once again for the Annual Rastafarian Earth Festival hosted by the Judah Square community in Khayalethu South, Knysna.

Reggae Music Splash 2014

The Reggae Music Splash will be a fundraising event for the 7-day Nyahbinghi Churchical Gathering to follow.

The Reggae Music Splash will be held in Percy Mdala Hall, Khayalethu on Friday the 18th of July and Saturday the 19th of July from 7pm till late, and Sunday in Judah Square where a games day will also be part of the fundraising from around 10am and music to follow.

There are 6 live bands (from Judah Square, George, Greyton and Stellenbosh) a solo artist and DJ’s.

Entrance is R50 Adults and R20 for Youths (school age) and Stalls (food and crafts etc.) available for R300 for the 3 days. All are welcome and we will appreciate the love and support.

reggae music1The Rasta Earth Festival is an annual gathering in the Judah Square Rastafari Community in Knysna, South Africa. It celebrates the birthday/earthday of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I.

Since 2012, the music event has been separated from the churchical side so as to give the visitors of the Oyster Festival a chance to attend. This is called the Reggae Music Splash a.k.a. the Oyster and Herbs Music Splash. This fun event happens again this year.

The Reggae Music Splash will start Friday the 28th of June and carry on till Sunday the 30th June, from 7pm till late each evening.

Vegetarian food and drinks available.

  • Entrance fees on Friday and Saturday: R30 Adults and R10 Youths (school children)
  • Entrance fees on Sunday: R20 Adult and R10 Youths
  • Weekend tickets will cost R70.
  • Food and Craft stalls are available at R100 per night.

reggae music2The 7-day Nyahbinghi (Rasta Churchical Gathering) will start on the 22nd July with the official opening. The 23rd July to the 30th July the Celebration will continue with the drumming and chanting of the Nyahbinghi. There is an Observers Day when ones can come and experience this churchical gathering. All are welcome.
